The international Green Ship Technology 2011 event is  organised by Informa Maritime Events and it's now in its 8th year. The GST has developed into a major event for the maritime industry and is highly valued across the Norwegian  maritime community. The topic of the conference is '' Innovative approaches and technological solutions for sustainable shipping". This year  there will  be more stakeholder problem-solving panel discussions on sustainable shipping, LNG, ballast water, abatement technology and voyage optimisation.

Moreover, on the second day of the conference there will be held two workshops:  "Understanding Technical Fleet Management and Performance Monitoring: A practical guide to effective ship performance management" and "Using LNG as a Ship’s Fuel: developing strategies for effective infrastructure, bunkering and operations".
