First NMU students use NMU network for studying abroad

The first students of the University of Applied Sciences Kiel, Germany, benefit from the NMU network. They are enrolled for one semester abroad at European partner universities this winter term 2008/2009. Due to the network activities the crediting of the courses in "maritime business related studies" will be guaranteed. Another important point: The semester abroad doesn’t cause any prolongation of the study period.
Three of the students attend at Molde University College in Norway courses such as "European Transport Policies" or "International Transport and Distribution". The fourth student completes various courses of the study program "Transportation Management" at Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland.
One of the goals of the EU project Northern Maritime University is to facilitate and increase the mobility of students and teachers. A first step is made.
